Crowdcube’s Darren Westlake has been named the 2016 most influential leader in the crowdfunding industry by the British business and finance media outlet City A.M.
In fact, when it comes to crowdfunding, City A.M.’s 2016 top 100 influential leaders in fintech includes Darren Westlake the cofounder and CEO of Britain’s biggest equity crowdfunding platform, Crowdcube.
The platform, which enables individuals to invest in small companies in return for equity or an annual return, and to date has raised over £195m ($241m) from users, had appointed Citi and HSBC veteran banker Simon Williams as Chairman earlier this year.
