Chasing Dreams

Today is a truly special day for me because I’ve just become the course director for Coventry University’s MSc International Entrepreneurship!

So, let me take you back to where it all began, my passion for entrepreneurship I mean. It wasn’t some childhood dream or a sudden idea.

Nope, it all started when I and a bunch of awesome uni mates came together and founded a TV network. Can you believe it? That little venture of ours grew and evolved into a successful company.

After that adventure, I decided to take on an MBA, thinking it would land me a sweet corporate gig. But you know what? Life had other plans!

Instead of just a fancy job, it led me to a company that made a real impact on me – Indesit Company.

There, I got to soak in the vibes of an amazing workplace and learn from the stories of colleagues who were lucky enough to work with the legendary Vittorio Merloni. They’d talk about late nights brainstorming ways to crack foreign markets, the importance of giving back to society, and their relentless drive to innovate.

Those stories hit me right in the feels, reminding me of this fantastic biography I recently read about Michele Ferrero. He took his family’s business and turned it into a global sensation!

The book (pictured above) taught me valuable lessons about being innovative, socially responsible, and keeping that family spirit alive, even in a massive company with a worldwide vision.

You know what else? Italy, my homeland, has given birth to some true entrepreneurial heroes! I’m talking about Adriano Olivetti, Brunello Cucinelli, Diesel’s Renzo Rosso, Luxottica’s Leonardo Del Vecchio, to name but a few – they all made it big by staying true to their missions.

Now, fueled by these incredible examples, my great team and I want to inspire others and see amazing new entrepreneurial stories bloom all around the world.

If you wan to tag along and follow our escapades, hop on over to my blog or drop me a line at ad6411@coventry.ac.uk. Let’s make some entrepreneurial magic happen together!
